No Men Allowed! This Secluded Island Became A Safe Spot For Women Across the World. Know Why Its Trending

Last Updated:

A private island in Finland earned the title “heaven on earth” for a reason. Its unique entry rule, bold vision, and untold story continue to fascinate women worldwide.

A strict women-only policy: The island’s defining rule is simple: no men allowed. This is not framed as exclusion, but as a way to create a focused, distraction-free environment. Guests often say the absence of the male gaze changes how they move, speak and relax. The atmosphere feels calmer, lighter and more emotionally open as a result.

The world is full of beautiful destinations, but Finland’s SuperShe Island stands apart. Often described as “heaven on earth,” this private island is extraordinary because men are strictly not allowed. Only women can visit and stay here.

Spread across 8.4 acres, the island is located in the Baltic Sea near Raseborg, close to Finland’s southern coast. Despite being just about 100 kilometres from Helsinki, arriving here feels like stepping into an entirely different world.

The island was purchased in 2018 by American entrepreneur Kristina Roth, a former tech CEO. Her vision was to create a distraction-free zone exclusively for women, a place without agendas or interruptions, where one could truly recharge amidst nature.

The island features rocky shores, dense forests, and luxury villas designed to blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Guests arrive by boat and live in a calm, serene environment. One of SuperShe Island’s most defining features was its strict no-men policy.

Accommodation was limited to only eight guests at a time, ensuring privacy, intimacy, and personal space rather than crowds.

Cosy wooden cabins are surrounded by lush forests, offering women the chance to practice yoga, meditation, and deep relaxation. Between whispering pine trees and gentle sea waves, everyday worries seemed to fade away.

Why Men Were Banned

Kristina Roth’s goal was to create a powerful space for women. She believed that in a fast-moving world, women often lose touch with themselves, and this island helped them reconnect.

Between 2018 and 2023, SuperShe Island functioned as a women-only sanctuary. Thousands of women visited, formed friendships, and returned refreshed and re-energised.

However, in 2023, the island was sold to a male shipping executive for over €1 million. Since then, SuperShe has not been relaunched as a brand.

Even so, images and stories from the island continue to go viral on social media. In 2025–26, it is still widely referred to as a “women’s paradise,” and several reports have brought it back into public discussion.

Although the island is now private property and no longer follows its original women-only rules, the concept has inspired a global rise in women-focused retreats, highlighting the growing demand for safe, restorative spaces exclusively for women.
