Naila Kiani Has Been Named Goodwill Ambassador for Girls’ Education

Naila Kiani, Pakistan’s leading female mountaineer, has achieved another milestone by being announced as the Federal Ministry of Education and Skill Training for Girls in Education’s National Goodwill Ambassador.
Remarkable Achievements
From the very beginning, Nailya Kiani achieved unparalleled climbing results. Now, in her new role as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Girls’ Education, she is determined to use her platform to advocate for girls’ education’s importance in Pakistan and support the federal and provincial governments. Her journey is a testament to the power of education and determination. She is the first Pakistani woman and the third Pakistani to climb 11 of the 14 highest peaks above 8,000 meters.
- Naila is the first Pakistani woman to climb the 8,000-meter mountain in Pakistan.
- Kiani is also the first Pakistani to scale the peaks of Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I (G-I), Gasherbrum II (G-II), Lhotse, Manaslu, Broad Peak, Annapurna, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
She is one of the top ten mountaineers in the world and is the only Pakistani to have climbed multiple (seven) peaks above 8,000 meters in less than six months.
Moreover, she is the fastest Pakistani woman, regardless of gender, to have climbed all eleven 8,000-meter peaks in less than three years.
She is the only sportswoman to receive the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the highest civilian award given to any sportswoman in Pakistan.
National Goodwill Ambassador
