A Historic Summer of Cricket: Concurrent Men’s and Women’s Series to Thrill Fans

England Announces Exciting 2025 Home Fixtures
England has revealed its home fixtures for the 2025 season, with the men’s and women’s teams set to take on India during concurrent series in the height of summer. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has also confirmed a historic milestone for women’s cricket, as Lord’s will host its first-ever women’s Test when India returns for a one-off game in 2026.
Joint Visit by West Indies Teams
The 2025 season will feature a joint visit by the West Indies men’s and women’s teams, marking a busy and thrilling summer of cricket. English team Men will also face Zimbabwe in a one-off Test, a rare meeting between the two nations since the 2007 World T20. The summer will wrap up with English team hosting South Africa for a series of One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
England Women Kick Off the International Season
The international season will begin on May 21 at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, where English Women will play the West Indies in the first of three T20Is. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series, setting the tone for a summer of competitive cricket.
England Men Begin with a Historic Test Against Zimbabwe
England Men will start their summer with a historic four-day Test against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge from May 22-25. This will be their first international meeting since the 2007 World T20, adding a special significance to the fixture. Following the Test, England’s white-ball teams will take on the West Indies in three ODIs and three T20Is.
Five-Test Series Against India Promises Thrills
The highlight of the summer for England Men will be their five-Test series against India, beginning at Headingley on June 20. The series will continue with back-to-back games at Edgbaston and Lord’s, followed by matches at Old Trafford and The Oval. This highly anticipated series is expected to draw massive crowds, as the last Test series between these two sides was a nail-biter.
England Women to Play India in T20Is and ODIs
While the men face India in the Test arena, England Women will also take on India in a five-match T20I series, starting at Trent Bridge on June 28. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series, with one of the matches taking place at the iconic Lord’s.
The Hundred and South Africa Series to Conclude the Summer
As The Hundred tournament takes center stage in August, England Men’s international program will conclude with six white-ball games against South Africa. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series in Ireland, bringing the international season to a close.
