Taylor Swift marks 20 years of Debut album milestone amid re-release buzz

Taylor Swift fans gathered to celebrate as August 12 approached, since it marked the 20th anniversary of an important milestone in her career.
The 36-year-old pop superstar announced on MySpace that she was done recording her first album, back on August 12, 2006.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker wrote on the app, “l’ve been in the studio FINISHING my album. Oh yeah, I said it.. finishing it. That’s means it.. is… DONE. At least my part is done.”
Now, 20 years later Swifties took over the internet and celebrated, while also asking the Grammy winner about the Debut re-release for the milestone anniversary.
Swifties flocked to the comments and wrote, “20 years ago today she typed ‘it… is… DONE’ on MySpace… and the rest is pure history. Happy anniversary to the beginning of everything, Taylor.”
Given the singer’s knack for numerology, another fan added, “There’s this and it’s also 8/12. 8+12=20,” and “Very big wasted opportunity if she doesn’t officially announce the Taylor Swift (20th Anniversary Edition) today,” chimed in a third.
More added, “she knew she made history with Cold As You, oooh taylor, the lyricist you are,” and “20 years later, Debut (Taylor’s Version),” speculated one.
While another applauded, “and the music industry changed forever.”
