Courteney Cox remembers ‘Scream’ co-star Hayden Panettiere

Courteney Cox is remembering her Scream co-star Hayden Panettiere following her death in August at age 36.
Reflecting on their time filming Scream VI together, Cox told Entertainment Weekly, “She’s a really wonderful actor. The last time I worked with her we had a great time. She was really fun and happy and smart, and it’s really sad. It’s obviously horrible.”
Cox and Panettiere first starred together in 2011’s Scream 4, which introduced Panettiere’s character to the franchise, before reuniting more than a decade later for 2023’s Scream VI.
Tributes have continued pouring in from across Hollywood in the weeks since Panettiere’s death.
Her Heroes co-stars recently gathered for a reunion to celebrate her life, with series star Jimmy Jean-Louis sharing photos from the event on X, writing, “A ‘HEROES’ reunion to celebrate the life of HAYDEN was deeply emotional. There was sadness in our hearts, but also so much love, gratitude and warmth as we remembered the beautiful moments shared and the lasting impact of a life that touched so many. Au revoir Hayden.”
