Holly Willoughby reveals hardest part of raising children

Holly Willoughby’s new YouTube show garnered 47,000 views within its first day

Holly Willoughby has made a candid confession about life as a mother of three, admitting she is finding it difficult to watch her children become independent as they get older.

The presenter,45, made a deeply personal confession to her guest, Katherine Ryan, during the second episode of her new YouTube show, Together.

The series is produced by Hungry Bear Media, the production company owned by Holly’s husband, Dan Baldwin.

During the discussion, Ryan admitted that she does not think that her 16-year-old daughter would want to be friends with her if they attended the same school.

Willoughby replied: “I think you’re meant to get on with your kids, but you can’t be best, best, best friends, can you? There’s got to be a little bit of separation,” before Ryan shared her thoughts.

“They say that young people or single people who are dating now should ask the question, ‘did you have an adolescence?'” she claimed.

“And by that it means, did you have this period of detachment where you were a bit naughty and you rejected your parents and you went through all those hormones, because if you haven’t, then you will have a flawed attachment style and your adolescence is still to come.

“Looking somewhat relieved, Willoughby responded: “I’m so glad you said that because I feel the pulling away, and I find it really hard. I find that bit really, really difficult.”

The TV star, who is mum to Harry, 17, Belle, 15, and 11-year-old Chester, went on to admit:

“Because my kids are like the best thing that I’ve done. I look at them and I just go, ‘well, well done’, they’re pretty brilliant, but they are getting a bit teenagery now and I’m like, ‘Okay, you’re gonna go and have a life without me’.”

Ryan quipped: “So, you need to have a baby!” to which Willoughby admitted, “I feel like that ship has sailed,” before revealing that she had considered having a fourth child.

Willoughby shares her three children with her husband, Dan Baldwin, whom she married in 2007.

Holly Willoughby’s new YouTube show garnered 47,000 views within its first day, with the presenter admitting she is still learning as she embarks on the new venture.

It outperformed the latest episode of Richard Osman’s The Rest is Entertainment which was released on the same day and received 29,000 views.
