‘Home Alone’ icon Tim Curry’s co-star shares touching tribute

Richard O’Brien has paid tribute to Tim Curry after the actor died at the age of 80.

O’Brien was the writer of The Rocky Horror Show, where Curry first became famous as Dr Frank N Furter.

Curry died at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday night as his manager confirmed his death the next day.

His cause of death has not been shared.

Curry was dealing with health problems for many years as he suffered a stroke in 2012, which left him unable to walk.

O’Brien’s son Linus shared his father’s message on Instagram. In it, O’Brien remembered Curry as a kind person who never tried to get attention.

He wrote that Curry was “a good egg and a class act” and said it was a “privilege and delight” to have known and worked with him.

Curry played Dr Frank N Furter on stage before taking the role to the big screen in The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975.

The film later became a huge cult hit and made Curry a star known around the world.

He went on to play many other famous roles. He was Pennywise in Stephen King’s It and also appeared in Home Alone 2 and Annie.

Curry also returned to the stage many times, including in Spamalot.

For many fans, however, Dr Frank N Furter will always be the role that made Tim Curry unforgettable.
