Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner score legal win in Ray J case

Ray J’s legal fight with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner took another difficult turn after a judge reportedly refused to dismiss their defamation case.

The case will now continue, with a trial expected in May 2028.

The legal fight goes back to October 2025 livestream. During the stream, Ray J made claims about Kardashian and Jenner, saying that they were facing a federal racketeering investigation.

He also said that their problems could become “worse than Diddy”.

Ray J, however, later said his words were meant as opinions and were not statements of fact.

His lawyers also argued that he thought the livestream already ended when he made the comments.

The judge reportedly disagreed as the court found that people watching the livestream could take Ray J’s comments as claims about real events.

His explanation about the livestream was also rejected.

Ray J’s lawyer, Howard King, shared that the singer plans to appeal the decision as his legal team argues that Ray J should have the right to share his opinions about Kardashian and Jenner.

The fight, moreover, also includes another part of their long history which is about Kardashian’s sex tape.

Furthermore, the recent decision does not mean Ray J has been found guilty of defamation.
