Kim Kardashian, Kanye West reunite for North West’s music dream

North West had both of her famous parents in the crowd for her biggest music moment yet — although Kim Kardashian and Kanye West apparently weren’t sitting anywhere near each other.
The former couple showed up Saturday, September 5, for their 13-year-old daughter’s first headlining concert at Chicago’s Vic Theatre.
Both were there to support North, but videos from inside the venue showed Kim and Kanye sitting on opposite sides of the room.
Kim made it clear she was in full proud-mom mode, sharing clips from North’s performance on her Instagram Story.
Earlier that day, she also stopped by her SKIMS store in Chicago, posting, “SKIMS STORE CHICAGO.”
Kanye, meanwhile, had already been busy in the city after performing at Soldier Field for two consecutive nights.
For North, the concert marked another step forward after her planned August co-headlining tour with Molly Santana was canceled.
“i was really excited to go on tour w molly santana,” she shared at the time. “sadly it isn’t happening anymore but i have something special for u guys see ya soon”
And judging by Saturday night, that “something special” was definitely worth the wait.
North has been increasingly vocal about wanting music to be more than just a hobby.
In a recent Dazed interview, she said, “This is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.”
As for being onstage? North summed it up simply: “fun, relieving and exciting.”
With Kim and Kanye both turning up for her debut headline show, North certainly had a memorable audience — even if her parents kept their seats very, very separate.
