Mitski gushes over Olivia Rodrigo’s sweet Daisy Chain Fields invite

Olivia Rodrigo organised her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival this year and her enthusiasm knew no bounds as she tried to gather all the women performers who contributed to the star-studded lineup.
One of the highlights in her lineup was Mitski, who told the crowd that the drop dead hitmaker had called her herself to get her onboard.
The I Bet on Losing Dogs hitmaker shared further details in an interview with Drew Barrymore, saying, “Daisy Chain means a lot to her. She called me personally, that doesn’t happen. I had other stuff planned but I immediately said yes. She is giving me so many gifts, I’m like you gotta stop, your manners are making me feel a bit shamed about myself.”
Mitski shared that the necklace that she was wearing, was also a gift from Rodrigo.
Elsewhere in the interview, Barrymore told the singer, “Your music is healing for me. It makes me feel really good about myself. I feel like the world is not conducive to people like that.”
The Francis Forever songstress responded, “You’re making me emotional. I’m grateful to anyone who listens to my music because it gives me purpose.”
Mitski also spoke about her approach to life, with Barrymore, saying, “We are in a culture, where like, everyone is trying not to die. All the billionaires are pouring money into trying to figure out how to not die, and it’s just like, it’s so futile! Your life would be better spent facing it everyday.”
