‘Ted Lasso’ cast reunites for Season 4 red carpet premiere

The cast of Ted Lasso reunited on Monday night for the red carpet premiere of the Apple TV+ comedy’s fourth season, held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles ahead of the show’s return on 5 August.
Jason Sudeikis was joined by returning cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, alongside new season additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Apple executives Tim Cook and John Ternus were also in attendance, along with members of the San Diego Wave women’s soccer club.
Sudeikis brought along his two children with ex-partner Olivia Wilde, 12-year-old son Otis and 9-year-old daughter Daisy, marking their red carpet debut at the event, with the actor seen shielding them from the sun for photos outside the venue.
The new season sees Ted Lasso return to Richmond for what’s being billed as his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women’s football team.
According to the show’s official synopsis, “Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would” across the course of the season.
The show’s third season, which aired in 2023, had originally been positioned as the series finale, before Sudeikis confirmed roughly two years later that a fourth season was moving forward with a mix of returning stars and new cast additions.
Ted Lasso season 4 will roll out weekly, launching with a single episode on 5 August and continuing through to its finale on 7 October.
