Tom Cruise’s ‘controlling’ specific rules laid bare

Tom Cruise may be known for doing his own death-defying stunts, but apparently there’s one thing he wasn’t willing to risk during his latest GQ shoot: showing too much skin.
The Mission: Impossible star, 64, turned up the heat for the magazine’s new spread, posing with his black shirt dramatically unbuttoned.
But according to sources, Cruise had some very specific limits for the shoot.
“Tom wanted sexy, masculine and movie-star hot — but absolutely no nipples,” a source told Rob Shutter. “He controls every frame. With Tom Cruise, even looking spontaneous is carefully planned.”
And the shirt wasn’t the only thing with boundaries.
According to an insider, Cruise’s estranged daughter Suri was strictly off the table during the interview. While the actor opened up about his famously intense personality, he kept his family life private.
“I am intense,” Cruise admitted, before explaining just how deeply filmmaking is tied to his identity: “It is who I am.”
“Everyone understood the rules,” an insider noted. “Movies, stunts, ambition — ask away. Suri? Don’t even try. There was going to be no discussion about their estrangement or why she dropped Cruise from her name.”
Suri, 20, now legally uses Suri Noelle, taking her mother Katie Holmes’ middle name as her surname.
“Tom gives access, but only on Tom’s terms,” the source added. “He’ll unbutton the shirt, talk about being intense and sell you the Tom Cruise fantasy. But the nipples stay covered, Suri stays off-limits, and Tom stays completely in control.”
Basically, Cruise gave GQ plenty of Tom Cruise—but apparently not all of him.
