Zara Larsson laughs off hair mishap with fan onstage

Zara Larsson had a hairy moment, literally, during her Way Out West set in her hometown of Gothenburg. 

The 28-year-old pop star brought a fan onstage as part of her Lush Life choreography during the August 13 performance, but the good-natured stunt hit a snag when the fan’s ring got caught in Larsson’s hair while she was unwrapping her arm from around the singer’s shoulder. 

A clip shared by Swedish broadcaster TV4 captured the whole moment, with both Larsson and the fan laughing it off before the show carried on without missing a beat.

This wasn’t Larsson’s first onstage mishap this year. 

During a June 6 performance at Norway’s Neon Festival, one of her hair extensions came loose mid-song, a moment captured by a concertgoer and later picked up by Capital. 

She’s also taken a lighthearted approach to past wardrobe hiccups, including losing a high heel while kicking off Today’s Summer Concert Series, joking to co-host Sheinelle Jones on stage, “We gotta dance extra hard because I lost my heel!”

The Way Out West set comes after a particularly packed stretch for Larsson. 

In April, she wrapped the North American leg of her Midnight Sun Tour before heading into a run of college shows she’d committed to earlier in order to help fund her larger tour, including stops at Yale, the University of Delaware, Tufts and Brandeis.
